Apple wants to reintroduce the affordable iPhone SE family. The latest claims revealed that the fourth generation iPhone SE is ready for production. Unlike Samsung and LG, Apple is said to buy OLED displays for the iPhone SE 4 from Chinese manufacturer BOE.
BOE will produce OLED display for iPhone SE 4
According to the news of MacRumors, China-based BOE will produce an OLED display for the iPhone SE 4, which is said to be released next year. BOE could not be included in the OLED line of the iPhone 15 family due to production problems. Apple, on the other hand, bought most of the screens from Samsung and LG.
However, BOE is determined to make an agreement with Apple for OLED display. The Chinese manufacturer will focus on OLED production for the fourth-generation iPhone SE, which costs less than the iPhone 15 family. It is stated that the OLED volume for the new iPhone SE will be around 20 million.
It is thought that the iPhone SE 4 will not have a completely new OLED line. Recent claims showed that the screens allocated for the iPhone 13 or iPhone 14 will be used. Since it’s an entry-level product, it makes sense for Apple to take advantage of this line.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has announced that it has started developing the fourth-generation iPhone SE, which has a 6.1-inch OLED display and 5G chip. The new iPhone SE will reportedly resemble the standard iPhone 14 with a 6.1-inch OLED display with thinner bezels. The third-generation iPhone SE featured a 4.7-inch LCD display with thicker bezels.
