A mod maker named Sultim_t, which adds ray tracing support to classic games such as
Half-Life and Serious Sam, has added a new name among these games. User shared today an amazing video of what the first Doom game released in 1993 will look like with Ray Tracing. Sultim_t, which includes the modded and unmodded game in the same scene in the video, offers a quick comparison between the two versions.
The mod, which was released without any support from Nvidia and Doom’s maker ID Software, includes a certain part of the main game due to legal restrictions and only supports GeForce RTX graphics cards. However, the original version of the game gives 5000 FPS in a system with RTX 3090, while the version with ray tracing support can reach a maximum of 239 FPS.
Windows 11 support has arrived on Steam Deck
Looking at the video, it offers a surprising visuality with ray tracing support, real-time shadows and lighting, which has managed to add a new dark atmosphere to the Doom game. We can say that the new mode offers a great new opportunity to users who want to take a look at the Doom game, which was released about 30 years ago.
