Opera has made a significant upgrade to its Web3-focused web browser, Crypto Browser, adding new features.
Launched in January 2022, Opera Crypto Browser works with the traditional Web2 browser. Apart from the wallet support that comes with the new update, it also acts as a dedicated access point that includes the latest industry news, prices and market sentiment.
Opera Crypto Browser Updated Before Merge
Opera Crypto Browser, a Web3-oriented browser built to work with dApps, now supports third-party wallets like MetaMask.
Third-party wallet support for Crypto Browser comes ahead of the Merge upgrade, which is considered an important update to the Ethereum network and is expected to happen this week.
Stating that Merge is the most important technological update in crypto history, Opera Crypto Ecosystem Leader Susie Batt said:
The mobile version of Opera Crypto Browser currently supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Celo, FIO, Near and Nervos Blockchains and related tokens.
