Binance stated that user funds are safe while suspending some user accounts as part of the Bitzlato investigation.

Some User Accounts Suspended From Binance Under Bitzlato Investigation

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has suspended some user accounts on its exchange after Bitzlato was seized by the US Department of Justice in recent weeks.

While making this move, Binance announced that user funds are safe. According to some users, Binance is closing some accounts on its exchange in connection with the Bitzlato investigation.

A group of Russian Binance users are suffering from blocked accounts and not being able to withdraw their funds from the exchange. Users whose accounts have been suspended have created a Telegram group to point out the issues, stating that their accounts have been suspended without warning.

The group, which now has more than a thousand members, has claimed that there are some links between the blocking and sanctions against Bitzlato by the US Department of Justice.

Most of the users in the Telegram group wrote that they use Bitzlato to process transfers between Bitzlato and Binance accounts. Some users, whose accounts have been suspended, have expressed their anger at the sanctions against Bitzlato.
