A Twitter account called @analyst941 claims that Apple will bring iPhone lock screen customization features to iPads later this year as part of the iPadOS 17 update. This account is the same source who claimed earlier in the month that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will switch to a different button combination for shutdown.
The claim came in response to a Twitter user complaining about the empty space on the iPad lock screen. @analyst941 added that iPadOS 17 will also make it possible to move the clock on the lock screen.

Apple started offering a number of lock screen customization options as part of the iOS 16 update released in 2022. The list includes options such as lock screen widgets, live events, stylized date and time, new notification animations, gradient colors. iPhone users can decorate their lock screen, choose desired fonts and colors, and decide where to place items on the screen.
The claim includes that iPadOS 17 will also feature various lock screen features that will form part of the iOS 17 update. A Weibo rumor suggests that iOS 17 will even allow users to share their lock screen with others. The lock screen will also be able to display Apple Music lyrics. And if the claim is true, iPad users will now be able to do all this.
