People have sued major brands for many reasons, rightly or unjustly, and many of them have made large sums of money. This time it looks very serious.
If her claims are true, a woman says that the coffee she drank from a McDonalds branch contained chemicals and that when she drank the coffee and her throat started to burn, she asked for help from the employees, while the employees ignored the woman’s call for help.
Woman sued McDonalds for $13 million in damages
Florida’s Sherry Head went to a McDonalds branch in Alabama, USA on September 19th. She ordered a coffee herself and started drinking it. So far the events are real, the rest of what we’re going to tell are Sherry Head’s claims.
After drinking her coffee, the woman’s throat began to burn and she asked McDonalds employees to help her and call 911. According to the woman, McDonalds employees did not call 911 on purpose.
What’s more, even after the woman called 911 and called the authorities, when she asked to see the label on the coffee, the staff refused to show it. With these claims, Sherry Head filed a lawsuit against McDonalds, the world’s most popular fast food chain, for 13 million dollars.
Head is seeking $3 million in damages and $10 million in punitive damages. What are you thinking? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
