Microsoft is preparing to present a new change that will affect the calls made through Windows 11’s start menu.
With the update, the search results in the Start menu of Windows 11 will now be divided into two different categories as “Windows” and “Bing Web Search”. In this way, users will be able to see the difference in the middle of local documents and internet searches more clearly.
Start menu calls will no longer make Bing
Regardless of the context of the searches you have made through the Start menu so far, the Search Results section also appeared. With this new update, this imposition will disappear.
In addition, Microsoft will increase the control of users on the operating system by offering options for the use of special web exploration providers in Windows Search within the scope of the new update, to remove Microsoft Edge and to fully disable Bing web search.
Microsoft’s tendency to impose Bing and Edge on Windows users has long been closely examined by the European Union. With the new update, these changes will take place directly within the scope of the directives of the European Union.
