Dilara, a preschool teacher, shared her student’s birthday surprise with the permission of the family on social media last month. This video, which warmed the hearts of the viewers, went viral in a short time on the internet, as you can imagine, and met with positive reactions. The spread of the video, which was watched hundreds of thousands of times in a short time, caused the teacher Dilara to be fired.
In her statements on social media, teacher Dilara said, “The video was shot on November 5, 2021, but it was released on January 9, 2022. It was an image shared with the consent and permission of the parent, which I have already presented with proof before. My account was an account with 1000 followers before this video. My aim was to use this profile as an archive in the coming years and to use it as an account that can help other fellow teachers. No one would have guessed that this video would make such an impact and become the subject of the country’s agenda” and shared details about the video and its purpose.
The teacher later added to his words that he was fired and conveyed to his followers that he had no bad intentions while sharing the video;
The video was out of my control, and I couldn’t avoid this situation. This situation to my superiors at school; I forwarded it to the vice principal and principal. They asked me to delete the video from my profile immediately, but I did not do this. I also conveyed to them in an appropriate language that I would not delete it; because there was nothing bad in the video. I brought to light the feelings we had forgotten with İbrahim. I am a paid teacher, or rather a teacher, yet I tried to do my best. I have not abused or abused children. I did my job well, but it was not possible to finish it properly.
