The world-famous Time magazine has always made a name for itself with its covers. The latest issue of the weekly news magazine has a cover that comes alive in the eyes of the first-time viewer. This is made possible by optical illusion.

The final cover, designed by Olafur Eliasson, actually consists of two pages. The first features an image of an “overheated” earth in shades of orange and red. However, when the reader looks at the green heart in the middle and turns the page, he is in for a surprise.

Overheated earth looks healthy

When the reader looks at the heart for 12 seconds and then moves to the next blank page, he or she can imagine our overheated planet in greens and blues, the colors of a healthy world. As Time notes, this is the first cover where the reader’s eyes form the image.

The striking cover of the new issue of Time was designed to address the sensitivity of the current climate situation ahead of the COP27 conference. The magazine has produced many bold covers on climate change over the past few years. This was the last one. So, did this optical illusion work for you? You can specify in the comments.
