Huawei will hold a large-scale event on May 18 where it will introduce its new products. One of the products that the company will bring to the stage will be the MatePad Air. Shortly before the launch, the first images of the tablet and some of its features were leaked to the internet.
The “Air” in the name of the MatePad Air indicates that it will compete with the Apple iPad Air. According to the information transferred, the device will carry an 11-inch screen with 2.8K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio. It will also come with a body that is 6.4 mm thick and weighs 508 grams.
Possible price tag also revealed
The tablet will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, it will include an 8,300 mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. Other revealing details include a single rear camera with LED flash and stereo speakers.
We were able to see the white version of the device in the published photos. It is unknown if other color options will be offered. The exact price information is not available yet, but it is expected to be available for sale at a price of 3,000 yuan, or around $ 430.
