The biosymbiotic device was developed with a 3D printer by engineers from the University of Arizona. The device can operate continuously thanks to the combination of wireless power transmission and compact energy storage. Developed by Philipp Gutruf, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and his team, this device has some distinctive features that make it superior to other wearable devices. First of all, the biosymbiotic device goes beyond the limitations found in sensors and wearable devices currently in use and on the market.

It was determined that the device, which was tested in activities such as walking, running or jumping, could even detect the body temperature change in a person climbing a flight of stairs as a result of the tests. The fact that the device gives these results shows that it can make a big difference in monitoring and evaluating a person’s body and metabolism in the future. Gutruf stated that the most important feature of the device is that it is practical and easily portable and said, “These devices are designed in such a way that they do not require any tedious interaction with the user. It is simple to put on the device, then you forget it and it does its job.”
