It has been reported that a woman in China was caught bringing more than 200 Intel processors and 9 iPhone devices into the country inside the prosthetic belly she wore to look pregnant.A woman named Zhao was trying to return to mainland China by crossing to Zhuhai via the port of Gongbei. Customs officers noticed some peculiarities in the behavior and appearance of the pregnant woman and wanted to search. The woman objected to this and stated that she was five to six months pregnant.
Not the first “interesting” smuggling case in China
However, the investigation revealed that the woman was not actually pregnant and was carrying a prosthetic belly under her clothes. Inside the prosthesis were 202 Intel processors and nine smartphones. More specifically, these were Alder Lake processors and the latest generation of iPhones.
This is not the first “interesting” case of smuggling in China. Because earlier this year, a man was caught with 160 Intel processors strapped to his body.
