Approximately 140 job postings at the Apple office in San Diego are focused on 5G chip development. Satellite engineering company Irvine similarly created about 20 job postings to try to attract Broadcom employees to the company.

Prakash Sangam, founder of Tantra Analyst, pointed out that dealing with multiple conditions that can affect a signal is complex. Making a statement on the subject, Sangam said, “It is worth noting that in some ways the 5G chip is more complex than a processor like the M1. This will make it difficult for Apple to produce 5G chips. This can be done if you spend enough time, resources and money. But they are unlikely to do so in 2023.” said.
