According to German website WinFuture, HTC; It is working on plans to launch a new flagship smartphone in April. The company, which previously released a special model for Metaverse, called this new initiative Viverse. Based on Viverse, which works integrated with HTC’s virtual reality glasses Vive VR models, it is thought that HTC’s new phone will also carry some Metaverse features.
HTC has not introduced a new flagship smartphone since 2018. HTC U12+, one of the most recently introduced phones, did not attract much attention in our country at that time due to its high price. Later in the same year, the company, which launched its last flagship HTC Exodus 1, subsequently became silent in this area.
While the news from the company showed that HTC is working on a new flagship, the information that this new phone will include Metaverse features came directly from the company’s Vice President Charles Huang. Huang did not provide further details, while stating that the company has plans to include certain Metaverse capabilities in its upcoming smartphone.
HTC is expected to introduce its new phone within the next month. However, it is unclear whether this phone will go on sale in Europe.
