Smartphone producing companies started to develop better and more usable folding phones with new developments in technology. It seems that Xiaomi is one of them, and with the new generation folding phone series Mix Fold 2, it is preparing to provide pen support.
Xiaomi has filed a patent application with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) regarding its foldable phones. Accordingly, the folding mechanism and hinge design are similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. The sketches also reveal a stylus that appears to be magnetically attached to the side of the phone.
- This is how 2021 passed in the world of smartphones. . .
On the right side of the phone are the power and volume buttons, while on the left there is space for the stylus. The patent only reveals details about the design, not the technical specifications of the folding phone.
The mentioned folding phone is not the only phone Xiaomi is working on. Allegedly, the Chinese company is also working on another folding smartphone similar to the Galaxy Z Flip series. Similar to the Z Flip, it is expected to have a small screen on the outside and a full screen on the inside after flipping open.
