This feature, which is used under the name ‘Status’, allows users to share photos and videos that disappear within 24 hours. The information that has emerged now has revealed that a new feature is being worked on.
Statuses can be viewed directly from the chat list
According to what was shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to introduce a feature that will allow status monitoring directly from the chat list. As you can see from the image above, this feature allows one of your contacts to share a new ‘status’, which can be viewed directly through the profile photo section of the ‘chats’ list.
For now, it is reported that this feature can be tried by a small number of beta users. Let’s add that with the statuses in the chat list, the company has the possibility to add advertisements between the videos and photos watched, as in Instagram. In addition, WABetaInfo states that users can decide for themselves whether the statuses are included in the chat list. This reveals that the feature can be used optionally.
