Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new feature added to the social network with his Instagram account. Users will soon be able to post a short 30-second clip of a favorite song directly to Notes for everyone to hear.
Let’s say for those who do not know Instagram Notes; We are talking about the part where the status messages appear above the profile pictures in the messages section. This feature reminds me of the days when people used to share music on their MySpace accounts. However, it is unknown whether the songs will play automatically as soon as you enter your message or whether people will have to tap the message first.
Adding songs seems very easy. When you look at the Instagram Help Center, all you have to do is tap the musical note icon before writing a note. Then you choose the track and publish it, that’s it. People can also add a small title to accompany the song if they wish.
Alongside the music update, Instagram Notes is said to soon be able to translate non-English languages as well. Users will begin to see a “See translation” alert below the notes. As you can imagine, tapping the place in question will immediately translate the text into a language you can read.
This tool is already available in other parts of the platform, from the post descriptions to the comments section. Meta actually brings a pre-existing function to another part of the app.
