Electric car giant Tesla shared its latest update for Android and iOS app. In addition to solving routine bugs, the update also included an interesting feature. With the new update, Tesla will show recall warnings for vehicle owners.
Tesla’s new update will warn for the recall
As with many other automakers, Tesla frequently informs its customers. Tesla vehicles also need to be recalled from time to time, especially since Elon Musk calls Tesla a robotics company.
It turned out that some changes were made in the “Service” menu with the Tesla version 4.9. The new feature of the Tesla application, which was noticed by a Twitter account named Tesla_app_iOS, will inform its customers about recalls and service alerts.
According to Tesla_app_iOS’s description, the “Service” section only showed service appointments and upcoming services in old versions. However, if a recall warning is made due to any error with the new feature, vehicle owners will be notified.
Tesla owners who want to check if there are any recalls are very simple to do. After going to the Service section in the Tesla app, you can see a list of all available recalls for your vehicle. In addition, the company will throw notifications for new recalls.
However, it has been noticed that this feature has not been activated yet in Tesla’s Android and iOS applications. According to the release notes, the Service section of the app will redirect the user to Tesla’s web page if there is an update regarding the recall.
