Pixel 6 series, which search engine giant Google introduced to users in October, does not fall off the agenda due to the errors it brings with it. The company, which even promised to charge 50 percent in half an hour with a 30W charger, especially during the promotion of the series, became the focus of reactions after some tests by Android Authority in the past months. Recently, a new claim has been made on the same subject.
Is slow charging of the Google Pixel 6 series actually a feature?
After the Google Pixel 6 series became the focus of criticism about charging speeds, information exchange began to occur among users, especially on various forums and websites on the Internet. At this point, a user on the American social news and discussion site Reddit recently asked other Pixel 6 owners if they had encountered an error that caused their devices to charge slowly. He also shared data from his phone.
According to the user, the Pro model of the series was even below the real charging speeds after a certain level. As you know, during the promotional process by Google, it was announced that the phone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at 30W. However, it was later revealed that the battery was charging at a maximum rate of 22W.
When this was the case, the topic opened on Reddit started to become popular rapidly. Some stated that it takes 3 hours to charge their phones from 23 percent to 100 percent, while others state that it takes 1 hour to charge from 10 percent to 50 percent. However, the common point of the data shared by users was that between 80 and 100 percent, charging speeds were greatly reduced.
On top of that, it was claimed that the situation that users see as an error is actually a feature called Adaptive Charging. This function has the ability to reduce charging speeds after a certain level to keep the battery healthy by performing various calculations through AI and Machine Learning.
So what do you think about this subject? Is the decrease in charging speeds after a certain level due to the Adaptive Charging feature? Do not forget to share your views with us in the comments section.
