The rumors about Apple’s AR/VR-based headset for a long time have increased recently. The launch of the device, which was constantly postponed, had been delayed again in the past days. A leak information about the price of the title, which turned into a snake story, has now arrived.

Apple AR/VR headset will cost at least $2,000

In general, Apple is careful not to leak about the products it works on. However, some people famous for Apple leak information are making new claims about the AR / VR headset. It was previously stated that the title, which was announced to be delayed again in the past days, will not be a cheap product. It was stated that the product could be at the level of at least 2 thousand dollars.

The device will be powered by the 96W adapter used in the MacBook Pro. The device will have two different processors, one 5nm and the other 4nm, each manufactured by TSMC. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, who previously stated that Apple will probably use the M1 Pro chip for its new AR / VR headset, included the following statements in its content.

Apple is generally known for charging slightly more for its products than its competitors. Thus, Apple became one of the most profitable consumer electronics companies ever. The new headset will not be an exception. But the main reason the company is discussing price points above $2,000 is due to some of its internal tech.

The chip inside the Apple headset will be on par with the M1 Pro. This will make it better than the M1. CPU speeds are not the main reason to use M1 Pro instead of M1. More advanced graphics are needed. As you know, M1 has an octa-core GPU while M1 Pro has 14 to 16 graphics cores.

Apple’s AR/VR headset release date will be 2023

Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously said that the AR / VR headset will focus on gaming, media consumption and communication. Various rumors are circulating for the device, whose name is not yet known. Apple was aiming to introduce its headset, which combines virtual and augmented reality technology, at the WWDC22 event it will organize this year. However, Gurman announced that the device was delayed to 2023.
