As of today, an application that will make it much easier to share music with your friends is released for Apple devices. The application, called “MusicMatch”, allows you to listen to music with links from Spotify and Apple Music applications, regardless of platform. In addition, you can access the songs you want to listen to without opening the MusicMatch application from the Safari extension.

Which devices will MusicMatch come to?

The MusicMatch application, released today, can be used on all iPhone devices running iOS 15. The application, which can be downloaded for free from the App Store, allows you to open the song you copied the link to via Apple Music or Spotify. The developers of the application, Arthur Van Siclen and Patrick Hardy, share that they developed such an application because music sharing with their friends did not happen the way they wanted.

Van Siclen, an Apple Music user, says that he is tired of clicking on the links sent to him on Spotify for years and then searching for the name of the artist and song on Apple Music. Likewise, Hardy complained about not being able to listen to songs “in one go” with Van Siclen, with whom he shared music for years. Wanting to find a solution to this, the duo decided to develop an application that would make it easier to share music with their friends.

MusicMatch, which is currently only available for download on iPhone devices, will soon be coming to macOS as well. Stating that the application is designed not to be limited to certain platforms, Hardy shares that the application and Safari extension for Mac computers are also in preparation. Support is also planned for Tidal, YouTube Music, Pandora, and other popular music apps.
