Ubisoft, one of the important names of the video game world, is on the agenda with a strange issue. An image posted on some social media platforms, especially Reddit, reveals that Ubisoft is testing the in-game advertising system.
Ubisoft’s plans came to light with the incident that happened to a player playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The player who wanted to open the map first saw an advertisement. Then the map of the game was opened. The ad shown belonged to Ubisoft again. The company showed an image in the game showing that it gave a 20 percent discount to Assassin’s Creed Mirage as part of its “Black Friday” discounts.
A few other players say they experienced the same thing
When we look at the post of the user named “triddell24” on Reddit, we see that a few more players have encountered a similar situation. As far as we can tell, this ad did not discriminate between platforms. For example, triddell24 was using Xbox. But another player says he experienced the same thing on PlayStation 5.
