EA has removed the latest community-created Zombie Survival mode from Battlefield 2042. Because fans have discovered that the mod is a pretty easy way to gain XP. Justin Wiebe, Senior Design Director at Ripple Effect Studios, stated that the mod needs to stay in the workshop for a bit.
Wiebe said that the Zombie Survival mode could be more in line with the standard game progression. In addition, the developer stated that the reviews on Battlefield 2042 are becoming more frequent so that such situations do not happen again. In addition, he apologized to fans for their patient behavior and understanding.
Zombie Survival mod is back in the workshop
Zombie Survival was a fan-made mod that was released in Battlefield 2042’s Portal mode. Teams of four soldiers were battling waves of zombies until rescue arrived. Things didn’t quite go as expected at this point. Players saw this place as an XP harvesting farm and took advantage of this vulnerability. The current situation was upsetting the XP balance of the production. EA noticed the error after a while and removed it.

Wiebe admitted that Zombie Survival should never have been added to Battlefield 2042 in the first place. At this point, he said, “Our desire to create a fun zombie mode has overshadowed our ability to see something so simple as the effect it has on progress.
