Glaciers are separated from their main parts as a result of melting in the summer months and drift in the ocean in large masses. Although this is a natural situation, the size of the glaciers breaking away from the main part due to global warming is increasing, and much more glacial mass is lost every year.
New images taken on the coast of Canada’s Newfoundland and Labrador region have also been on the agenda on social media these days when we feel global warming to the bottom. A huge slab of glacier was spotted by Canadian citizens on the coast of their home.

Almost all of the glaciers observed in the region where the video was taken are the glaciers that broke away from Greenland. Others are fragments from the more northern parts of Canada. These pieces drift in the ocean, melting as they descend to warmer latitudes and merge into the ocean.
