Apple, which is at the top of the industry with its products every year, continues to come up with innovative technologies to improve the user experience. Now it turns out that the company is working on a very interesting feature in messaging.

Apple has filed a patent for a new feature that could be added to the instant messaging service iMessage. Accordingly, the company wants to allow users to listen to the messages in the voice of the sender with the new feature.

You will be able to listen to the voice of whoever sent the messages

Apple users can already send voice messages in iMessage or have Siri read the messages to them. However, according to the patent application, this new feature allows messages to be listened directly to the voice of whoever sent it. Let’s add that the idea came from David A. Winarsky, head of the company’s text-to-speech technology department, Jiangchuan Li, the software developer working on Siri, and Qiong Hu, a former Apple employee.

To explain the feature further, when a user sends a message, they will be able to attach an audio file to the message. In this way, the person receiving the message will be able to listen to the message in the voice of the sender if he/she wants. In the image from the patent, it can be seen that the message can be added audibly and listened at the top of the chat in iMessage.

In addition, according to the patent, the device in question will create a Siri-like profile for the voice of the person sending the messages. Afterwards, the message will be simulated and this sound pattern can be used in future messages. It is also among the incoming information that it will be possible to send only the sound.

It is possible to say that users can have an even more personalized messaging experience in this way. For example, a couple can listen to messages saying they love each other with their own voices. Of course, it is worth noting that these patents do not always turn into reality. We’ll see if it’s true later on.
