The popularity of social media platforms continues to rise rapidly. These companies, which serve billions of people, are trying to add different features to their platforms to further improve the user experience. Twitter, which is popular all over the world, is one of these channels.
We shared with you that the popular social media platform added a ‘video caption’ feature to its mobile application in the past weeks and how to use it. It is reported that Twitter is now testing a different feature. Accordingly, the platform is preparing to add a brand new feature to the application that will allow you to send ‘joint tweets’.
Testing a feature that will allow two people to tweet jointly
As it is known, there is a feature on Instagram that allows two different accounts to share together. Now, the news reveals that this feature has been tested on many users on Twitter. In fact, it should be noted that this feature called ‘CoTweets’, ie ‘common tweets’, is not the first time it has appeared. Alessandro Palluzzi, who is known for his shares from the industry, has shown that the platform is working on the feature in the past months.
Now, a statement has come from the platform officials on the subject. The company stated that it is testing joint tweets for a limited time to see how users use the feature. A Twitter spokesperson said, “We continue to explore new ways for people to collaborate on Twitter. We have started testing CoTweets for a limited time to see how this feature is used.”
It is stated that users who have access to shared tweets can use this feature when they click on the tweeting part and invite other accounts to become a co-author. It is not yet known when the new feature, which allows two different accounts to be the owner of a single post, will be widely available.
