Two-year-old Coco was taken to the Woodside Animal Rescue Trust with another dog named Georgie after her owner died. Authorities soon determined that there was a problem between the two. It turned out that both Coco and Georgie had seizures and needed an emergency vet.

After investigations, it was revealed that both dogs were suffering from alcohol withdrawal. This is a condition that occurs due to the reduction or cessation of long-term high alcohol consumption. According to the British newspaper Metro, the owners drank alcohol and fell asleep, leaving what they were drinking in the open. Both dogs became alcoholics as a result of their continued consumption of these drinks.

Stating that they encountered such a situation for the first time, the animal rescue center unfortunately announced that Georgie passed away. Coco can stay strong; However, it was reported that his friend could not be saved despite all efforts.

Coco, who is in good condition, will be adopted when she is fully recovered.

According to the shelter, Coco needed 24-hour care when she first arrived. It was also among the explanations that the dog had to use tranquilizers for four weeks to prevent further seizures. Fortunately, this lovely friend escaped from danger and started acting like a normal dog after stopping the use of drugs.

Officials say that although the dog has recovered physically, he still has some mental problems, so he has not fully recovered. Coco will be adopted after she gets over this. Let’s add that the new owner of the dog will need to be an attentive person who should be at home often.
