Technology firm Artha France has developed a haptic feedback belt that transmits information from an input, such as a camera or screen, to the senses in the skin. To test the technology, the firm wanted to use a virtual environment.
They concluded that the most suitable virtual environment for the test was the Trackmania game. The reason is that Trackmania not only is a simple game, but also emulates many real-world challenges. Thus, visually impaired people who tested this system reacted quickly and got used to using the device more quickly.
