HiRise is part of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) vehicle, designed to explore Mars and built by Lockheed Martin, and the project has a budget of $720 million. MRO recently took a detailed photo of the planet’s surface showing a huge crater.
A fascinating Martian crater can be seen in the image. If you look closely, you can see clusters of dark formations that resemble a giant spider web in their structure. If you zoom out, the photo looks like lots of spiders moving across the landscape.It is claimed that such land ridges are the result of sublimation of ice occurring below the surface.
