Apple recently released new operating system versions for iPhone and iPad users. Some users explained that the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter accessory does not work in iOS 16.5. Here are the details…
Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter bug discovered in iOS 16.5
The Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter allows you to connect an iPhone or iPad via Lightning to provide a USB-A input to your device. The accessory also has a built-in Lightning port for charging an iPhone or iPad.
In posts on Apple’s Support forums, Reddit, and MacRumors forums, users explained that the Lightning and USB-A ports on this accessory became unusable after updating to iOS 16.5. With the iOS 16.5 update, the Lightning port does not transfer power to charge iPhone and iPad.
Users who made a statement on the subject said, “When an accessory is connected to the adapter via USB-A, we encounter an error message stating that too much power is required for the adapter to work.” made statements.
An iPhone 13 Pro Max user stated that he was able to use the accessory without any problems before the iOS 16.5 update. The user, who said that he tested the accessory with the iPad with the iPadOS 16 version, underlined that he did not have any problems with the tablet.
The bug fixes and innovations that come with iOS 16.5 are as follows:
- This update includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- A new Celebration Pride wallpaper for the Lock Screen to honor the LGBTQ+ community and culture.
- Fixes an issue that caused Spotlight to become unresponsive.
- Fixes an issue where the Podcasts app in CarPlay would not load content
- Fixes an issue that caused Screen Time settings to reset or not sync across all devices.
- Note: Some features may not be available in all regions or on all Apple devices.
