An interesting event took place in Hawaii, the island state of the United States of America, recently. Residents of a town on Oahu said that a stream smelled like beer. After the application to the authorities, it was revealed why the water smelled: The alcohol content of the water was 1.2%.
In the test conducted by an independent research company with samples taken from the river, it was reported that the water was 1.2% alcoholic. However, it was determined that almost 0.4% of the water consists of sugar. The reason why the stream was alcoholic was determined by Hawaiian authorities. The incident was caused by a leak in a pipe running through this stream.
It was the brewer’s fault:
The area where the stream was located was an industrial area and the facilities of the famous brewer were also located in this area. The study, conducted by Hawaii’s departments of transportation and health, revealed that alcohol was flowing into the stream due to a leak in a pipe not far from the stream.
The leak in the pipe stated that Paradise Beverages was responsible for the leak in the information given to the Ministry of Health. The manager of the facility, Anthony Rowe, announced that representatives from the ministries have reached them and are in the process of discussing the issue. It is not yet known what measures will be taken for the alcohol content in the stream.
