The threads between Twitter and Elon Musk began to stretch. After Musk suspended the acquisition of the social media giant, Twitter lawyers now accused SpaceX CEO and chief engineer Elon Musk of violating the confidentiality agreement.

He will pay a $1 billion penalty if the purchase does not take place
Musk previously said that he would check 100 accounts on the social network Twitter and detect fake accounts among them. On Friday, Twitter announced the suspension of its purchase. Elon Musk expects “information confirming estimates that spam accounts and fake accounts make up less than 5% of users” from the social network. Such an assessment was presented in the company’s report published on May 2.
On April 25, Twitter management announced that Musk would buy the company for $44 billion. According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, if the billionaire decides to terminate the deal, he will have to pay a $1 billion fine to the company.
