While automobile manufacturers are working hard for electric vehicles, a new one has been added to hybrid SUV vehicles with Honda ZR-V. The vehicle, which will be put on sale in the European market in 2023, will be positioned between the HR-V and CR-V. While we still have a lot of details to learn about the vehicle, GAC Honda has released the first official images of the new Honda ZR-V SUV for the Chinese market.

Based on the 11th generation Civic and positioned in the C-segment SUV category, the vehicle is larger than the B-segment Honda HR-V offered for sale in Europe and Japan. Design-wise, the SUV looks largely identical to the US-exclusive HR-V, with slim L-shaped LED headlights and a large grille.

How will the Honda ZR-V specifications be?

While the rear design brings to mind the new HR-V model, the double exhaust pipes are not visible in the press photos released so far. Interior images have not been released yet, but we think the cabin design will be similar to the HR-V.

This new hybrid SUV from Honda will be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a CVT unit. The VTEC turbo engine can produce 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. On the carved tailgate of the vehicle, there is the “240 Turbo” emblem, which is also used for the Honda Integra sedan sold in China.

We currently know the details of the version that will go on sale in China. Since vehicles have undergone changes according to various markets, it is highly likely that they will appear in a different way in Europe, including our country.
