The megapixel race continues in mobile cameras. Instead of the 108MP sensors that have been used for a while, they will soon be switched to 200MP ones. The 200MP sensor that Samsung will use in the Galaxy S23 series has been completed.
Available for the first time on Galaxy S23 series
Many reports showed that Samsung will start using 200 megapixel camera sensors in 2023. It looks like Samsung has completed another 200MP camera sensor. The company, which previously worked on the 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor, has completed the construction of a new 200MP sensor. The sensor, called ISOCELL HP3, is expected to be used for the first time in the Galaxy S23 series.

Details about the ISOCELL HP3 are unknown, but it is expected to be an improved version of the HP1. The ISOCELL HP1 features 4K and 8K video recording, advanced HDR and dual phase detection super autofocus. Samsung Electro-Mechanis will produce the majority of Samsung’s new sensor. The remaining production task will be given to Samsung Electronics and other partners. Let’s see if the Galaxy S23 series can beat its rivals with a 200MP camera.
