The smartphone market is constantly evolving and competing. Recently, foldable models and those that provide 5G connection support have started to shape the course of the market. In 2022, the effect of the pandemic on our daily lives has almost disappeared. However, the sales of technological devices increased at the same rate. Now, the best-selling 5G phones in the first quarter have been announced.

Here are the best selling 5G supported phones in 2022

When we look at the list of best selling 5G phones, we see that Apple has taken the first place. Because the company produces only for the flagship segment. Even the iPhone SE model, which was released in the past period, has been updated with 5G support this year. For this reason, every device it sells is included in this list.

In second place is Samsung, which increased its market volume in Asia from 5.6 percent to 14.2%. It is stated that this company is the fastest growing manufacturer in the global 5G market. Among the biggest reasons is that it offers this support in some entry and mid-segment models as well as flagship devices.

However, Samsung does not include this feature in every phone. Especially in the entry segment devices that it sells in the Asian market. Therefore, despite selling 17 million more units than Apple in general, it is behind in the 5G ranking.

Xiaomi, which is in the 3rd place of the list, remained where it was. It is stated that there is no significant decrease or increase. However, it is said that the 5G support offered by the company in entry-mid segment models such as the new Note series may cause it to rise later in the year.

Finally, it was revealed that Oppo and Vivo, which entered the top 5 of the list, experienced a great decrease in their sales. Among the possible reasons are the global chip and shipping crises. However, according to some claims, they are experiencing such a decline because Samsung took over the market.
