Chinese technology company ZTE came up with two new smartphones at an event it organized. The company, which announced these smartphones as “Axon 40 Ultra” and “Axon 40 Pro”, seems to be able to attract attention, especially with the Ultra model. Because the Axon 40 Ultra has a front camera hidden on the screen. Let’s take a closer look at the technical specifications of both phones.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch FHD+ resolution AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This screen, which has 71-degree curves, covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The phone, which is certified by TUV Rheinland and comes with PWM dimming technology that prevents eyestrain, has a front camera embedded in the screen, as we have just mentioned. This front camera offers the consumer a resolution of 16 MP. The performance of the camera embedded in the screen is a matter of curiosity.
Here comes the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra
ZTE’s new flagship is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This power is supported by up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The 5,000mAh battery of the phone comes with 80-watt fast charging support. Let’s also mention that the phone has Android 12-based MyOS 12 interface.
When we look at the back of the phone, we see a triple camera setup equipped with large sensors. This camera setup includes Sony IMX787, which offers 64 MP resolution, an ultra-wide-angle camera with 64 MP resolution, and a 64MP OIS supported telephoto camera.

ZTE’s Axon 40 Pro, which is less advanced than the Axon 40 Ultra, has a 6.7-inch OLED display. Powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor, this model also offers up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. On the back of the phone, which has a 16 MP front camera, there is a 108 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera, 2 MP macro camera and 2 MP depth-focused camera. The 5,000 mAh battery in this phone comes with 66 watts fast charging support.
