Elon Musk may bring a new subscription system to Twitter

With Elon Musk announcing that he bought Twitter for 44 billion dollars in the past few days, Twitter has come up frequently on many issues. The popular social media application Twitter has come to the fore again, this time due to a report shared by The New York Times.

Elon Musk, can double Twitter’s revenue with subscriptions alone

According to a report by The New York Times, Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, expects Twitter to generate $10 billion in revenue from subscriptions by 2028. Elon Musk expects the number of subscribers for Twitter Blue, Twitter’s paid subscription system, to increase to 69 million by 2025 and to 159 million by 2028.

Twitter has historically relied on advertising as its primary revenue stream. However, Elon Musk, who said in a now-deleted tweet that Twitter should remove ads for paid subscriptions, wants ads to make up only 45 percent of Twitter’s total revenue. Also, the report shows that Elon Musk is planning an anonymous subscription service outside of Twitter Blue.

Twitter, which earned $572 million from data licensing and other revenues last year, can generate more revenue this way with the steps to be taken by Elon Musk. The report on this topic states that Elon Musk is considering generating revenue by selling millions of daily tweets, market information and consumer trends on the platform to companies and developers.
