The Governor of California has signed an ordinance to promote the crypto industry in the state.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a decree to create a transparent regulatory framework and business environment for web 3.0 companies in the state, according to a press release. The state will also gather stakeholder feedback to establish crypto-asset regulations with federal authorities. “California is a global innovation hub, and by promoting responsible innovation, protecting consumers, and using this technology for the public good, we are building the state with this emerging technology for success,” Newson said in a statement. “Government often lags behind technological advances, so we are ahead of the curve in this regard by laying the groundwork to allow consumers and businesses to thrive.”
