Although the world of technology has just begun to hear the concept of metaverse, games that reflect the main idea have been on the market for years. Roblox is one of the best examples of this. Although the game does not promise realism, it allows to create unlimited worlds with unlimited items created by the community. Locking the players on the screen, Roblox has now taken the first steps to integrate Spotify within the game.
The agreement between Roblox and Spotify adds a new feature to Roblox and officially introduces Spotify to the metaverse world.
Roblox breaks new ground with Spotify Island
Hosting around 7,800 players on its first day, the virtual island is an important step for Spotify to step into the metaverse. Currently, big companies are trying to establish themselves in the metaverse, and Spotify’s strategy in this regard has been to generate income by settling in games like Roblox.
On the Spotify Island map added to Roblox, players can combine the sounds scattered around the map, explore beat centers and create their own music. There are special areas for each music genre on this map, where creativity is mostly spoken. For example, there is a region called K-Park, which represents K-Pop, and you can see traces of K-Pop in this region.
