Sad news came from the founder of Razer, which has an important place in the gaming world today. Robert Krakoff, the founder of Razer and the pioneer of gaming mice, has passed away.

Who is Robert Krakoff?

Razer wasn’t actually born as a company. It operated as a trademark of the firm called Kärna. In 1999, the first gaming mouse was developed by the Fitch company with the contributions of Robert Krakoff. This mouse used a spherical module, which we once knew as a ball, and could track its movements at 2000dpi with opto-mechanical encryption.

Faster than all mouse models of that period The model was named Razer Boomslang. Thus began the adventure of gaming mice, which made Razer known and popular. Krakoff signed a historic deal with Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, breaking new ground at that time. The Razerguy nickname was also worn during this period.

When the Kärna company went bankrupt in 2001, Krakoff and current CEO Min-Liang Tan came together and founded Razer in 2005. Krakoff, who was a consultant to Razer in his last years as President Emeritus, was 81 years old.
