It has been discovered that WhatsApp has developed a new feature to be released in the upcoming period: the ability to view status updates directly in your chat list.

Another improvement for status updates is coming in the future update of WhatsApp. If you have an Instagram account, you can see status updates directly in your private chats list. Finally, the same feature is coming to WhatsApp. As you can see in the screenshot below, the first person on the list posted a status update and can also be seen sharing a status update in the chat list or while searching for messages.
More people will see WhatsApp status updates
When the user clicks on the chat cell, WhatsApp opens the conversation screen with the contact, but if the profile picture of the person who posted the status update is clicked, the status update now appears. This means that the status update feature will begin to be viewed by more people.
Even if the screenshot is taken from the WhatsApp Desktop version, let’s also say that the same feature will come for Android and iOS. It is not yet clear when the new feature will be available.
