In the past weeks, there has been an incident related to this issue in our country, and it was claimed that the e-Government, where government services were transferred to the electronic environment, was hacked.

Even after these allegations, there were also posts that the information such as phone numbers and addresses of many famous names were seized and shared by the attackers. Journalist İbrahim Haskoloğlu, who shared about the incident, was also arrested after the leak allegations and was released after a while. After the emergence of these frightening news, the Ministry of Interior and the e-Government portal made statements denying the allegations. Now, another state organization has made a statement on the subject.

“There is absolutely no question of stealing data”

General Directorate of Security, the e-Government database, which has recently swept the agenda of social media, has been hacked and citizens’ information has been hacked into cyberspace. He made statements about the allegations that he was seized by the attackers. The organization stated that these allegations do not reflect the truth and used the following statements: “There is absolutely no question of accessing and stealing the data in the system through unauthorized access to the e-Government system.”

General Directorate of Security also stated that Journalist Fatih Altaylı was disinformation. Altaylı stated in an article the other day that the allegations of e-Government leaks were true, official statements did not reflect the truth, and his own information was stolen. The police also stated that a criminal complaint will be filed against Habertürk writer Altaylı.

Finally, in the statements of the organization, it was noted that a fraud network tried to commit fraud with the information obtained by obtaining the passwords of some individual users. The Police added that action has been taken against 3 people within the scope of the studies on this issue, and that the issue has been followed sensitively.
