Saddle Finance and Rari Capital were hacked.
Decentralized exchange Saddle Finance suffered a hack that resulted in a loss of $10 million. In the attack, first reported by the smart contract inspection company BlockSec, the attacker stole 3,540 ETH. In a statement to The Block, BlockSec managed to recover $3.8 million of the 13.8 million stolen by the attackers. The Saddle team said it was investigating the attack.
Rari Capital Loses $80 Million
DeFi platform Rari Capital has been hacked for $80 million. The attack, which took place in multiple loan pools, was also reported by smart contract auditing firm BlockSec. The company said the attack occurred through a re-entry vulnerability in the protocol’s smart contract.
Among the fund losers was Fei Protocol, a team that operates a decentralized stablecoin. Protocol acknowledged the attack and asked the attacker to return the stolen funds in exchange for a $10 million reward.
