Snap, which was founded in 2011 and is the ancestor of many camera filters we use today, continues to launch products far beyond the social media platform Snapchat. Snap, which also defines itself as a technology company, introduced its drone, which will be one of the biggest friends of content producers, today.
Snap’s mini drone, named ‘Pixy’, aims to be an incredible facilitator of outdoor shots with a camera on it. But the device hosts many innovations that distinguish it from other drones. Let’s take a closer look at the Snap Pixy drone.
Snap’s small and capable drone Pixy:
Snap Pixy is not controlled by any remote. The drone recognizes people with the camera on it and can shoot in different ways by switching to the flight mode you choose before flying. Pixy can stay in the air where it is, revolve around you, or follow you as you run or walk. All these options can be selected with a small button on the drone.
Pixy, which takes off from the palm of your hand, turns into your palm when landing and lands on your hand automatically. The images taken by the device are presented to the user according to its size, both close to today’s standards and promising for the future. Pixy can shoot 2.7K video and 12 MP resolution photos. All captured videos are automatically transferred to Snapchat Memories.
Weighing only 101 grams, Pixy can complete 5-8 flights on a single charge. If the battery runs out, the battery inside can be easily replaced with a spare battery. This cute and talented Snapchat drone is now available in the US and France for $229.99.
