Pegasus Airlines, one of the leading airline companies, recently came to the fore due to an incident related to its employees. A group of employees of the giant company shared a post on social media. In the post, which was made on the Night of Power, and included a table with alcohol, the phrases ‘Night of Power is special’ and ‘May my Lord accept’ were included.
This post, which spread on social media, caused some reactions. The famous airline company also stated in a statement after the incident was brought to the agenda that they would take the necessary actions and that sharing was unacceptable. After this, news began to come that there were layoffs related to sharing. Now, there has been another development regarding the incident.
An investigation has been initiated against the person who shared the post
According to the news, Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office decided to initiate an investigation against the people who shared the post. In the statements, it was stated that the investigation was initiated due to the crime of “inciting the people to hatred and hostility or humiliating them”. It was also reported that an investigation was carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Security Directorate as part of the investigation.
In the statements made by a person from the company, it was stated that the process was carried out through a single employee. In addition, this official added that this process will not be shared with the public due to the ‘Personal Data Protection Law’.
Lastly, Ali Rıza Küçükosmanoğlu, Chairman of the Transport Business Union, which is organized in Pegasus, stated in his statements to T24 that 1 person related to the subject was dismissed. In addition to this, Küçükosmanoğlu stated that the dismissal was not the right move, adding that the phone of the person who made the post was somehow found and threatened.
