Leaving behind a financially successful 2021, Microsoft started the new year quickly. In the first quarter of the year, the largest increase was experienced in cloud services, while other segments also recorded low increases.

In the first quarter of the year, Microsoft had a total revenue of 49.4 billion dollars. There was an increase of around 18% on a yearly basis. Operating profit, on the other hand, rose to $16.7 billion, an increase of around 8 percent. The biggest jump took place in the cloud segment.

With the contribution of Azure infrastructure The cloud segment broke a record with a total revenue of $23.4 billion. When segmented, the Server & Cloud division shares revenue of $17 billion, while the Office & Cloud Service division shares revenue of $11.1 billion.
Windows division saw $6 billion, Gaming division $3.7 billion, Devices division $1.76 billion, LinkedIn $3.4 billion, with small increases. Xbox sales hit their highest level in 11 years, with the number of xCloud cloud users approaching 10 million. Office 365 subscribers amounted to 58.4 million. Microsoft expects increases to drop to single digits in the second quarter of the year.
