It hasn’t even been 48 hours since Elon Musk bought Twitter for 44 billion dollars with a crazy step despite many saying it’s impossible. While warnings came from many authorities from the European Union to governments in this short time, Truth Social sharing came from Elon Musk.
In January 2021, US President Donald Trump’s Twitter account was permanently blocked. The reason for this obstruction was that Trump invited his voters to gather to protest, and then these protests turned into a raid on the congress building. Meanwhile, not only Twitter, but all platforms, from Facebook to Snapchat, began to impose bans against former US President Trump.
Elon Musk: Truth Social left Twitter behind
Trump, who announced that he would set up his own social media platform after these bans, came up with Truth Social after nearly a year. The application, which is currently used in the USA and has only an iOS version, was well below the expectation with the number of users around 500 thousand.
An interesting development occurred after Musk bought Twitter with a call for a freer platform. Musk announced that Truth Social has left Twitter behind with his share on his Twitter account.
It was thought that Trump’s account would be reactivated after the purchase. There has been no statement from the Twitter front yet, but Trump has announced that he will not return to Twitter even if the ban is lifted.
