El Salvador, Lugano, and Honduras After Prospera, the Central African Republic also passed a law announcing that it legally accepts Bitcoin.
According to the published report, the National Assembly in the country unanimously passed the bill that will make the cryptocurrency legal in the country.
Central African Republic Legally Adopts Bitcoin
Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget, and Gourna Zacko, Minister of Digital Economy, Postal Services and Telecommunications launched the legal framework for cryptocurrency regulation in the Central African Republic and legislation establishing Bitcoin as the official currency.
The bill was unanimously supported by the National Assembly to help the country’s economic recovery. Bitcoin became the first country to be legally accepted by El Salvador last September.
Also, last month the Swiss city of Lugano legally accepted Bitcoin along with Tether and LVGA.
Apart from that, Honduras Prospera, a special economic zone in the Latin American country of Honduras, announced this month that it will legally accept Bitcoin to accelerate economic growth.
