In the statement made by the Governor’s Office, it was determined that the cultural assets belonging to the Malatya Foundations Regional Directorate were used for commercial purposes on the metaverse platform.
Thereupon, it was stated that the images of cultural properties belonging to foundations in Malatya will not be allowed to be shot with professional shooting equipment for commercial use on the metaverse.
Instruction was given to follow up the subject meticulously
Malatya Foundations Regional Deputy Director Adem Bacanlı gave the following statements in the statement;
“On the Metaverse (virtual universe) platform, it has been determined that professional images of cultural properties owned by our administration are used for commercial purposes. Our Regional Directorate provides all necessary equipment for professional shooting and photography, video, etc., to be used for commercial purposes in the virtual universe in the cultural assets of the foundations within its area of responsibility. The instructions were given to not allow the shootings, to cooperate with the Governorships and Mufti in this regard, and to follow up the issue meticulously.”
