Yıldız Holding Board Member Murat Ülker discussed the issue of crypto money and NFT in his article on Linkedin titled ‘What Will Happen, Crypto Money and the State of NFT’. Ülker analyzed the recent economic and artistic developments in his article.

Explaining that the advertisements that he is rich in crypto money are false, Ülker said;

“Unfortunately, we cannot prevent such global scam networks from making false advertisements.”

Emphasizing that economic life has changed and art has adapted to the era and economy in which it lives, Ülker said;

“Cryptocurrency and NFT art are still not familiar areas, but I follow developments. But I should point out that I don’t have a penny of cryptocurrencies or an NFT artwork. There are many developments on these issues in our country as well as in the world.”

Ülker cited Hasan Doğan’s book, Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Technology in Terms of Islamic Law, which was published in 2021, and cited the book.

“The number of concepts that we can call digital was too few to exceed the fingers of one hand in the past ten years. Now it has become an adjective that can describe almost any concept you can think of. Digital health, digital art, digital communication, digital literacy, digital bank, digital state, digital citizenship, digital money. This digitalization experienced in all areas of life has reached such a point that we are talking about new universes and new value systems in which life will also become digital.”

Quoting Hasan Doğan’s introduction to the aforementioned book, Ülker said:

“The issue of the reliability of paper money was strongly discussed during the transition from coins to paper money. Likely, the transition from paper money to electronic money cannot be said to be painless. While we have not yet digested the issues related to electronic money, the concept of crypto money is now on the agenda of all of us, from small savers to large states… The great interest in Bitcoin and crypto money has become one of the main topics of discussion in the Muslim geography, especially in the Gulf and Southeast Asian regions.”
